CG News Update: Practice Guideline for Cyber Governance
IOD conducted a survey on awareness among Thai directors in responding to cyber business and cyber security governance, and organized a seminar on cyber governance, on September 10, 2015. The survey results indicated that a majority of Thai directors were aware of the importance and impact of cyber and IT development on their company’s competitiveness and growth and understood the need for cyber governance
Policy Alert: The Building Control Act No. 5 / 2558, effective August 28, 2015
The Building Control Act is a type of law that is becoming more prevalent in developed countries. In general, this law protects the safety and well-being of citizens. It requires landlords and occupants and managers of specific types of building to have insurance that covers personal injuries and damage to assets of third parties due to negligence.
Policy Brief: Anti -Money Laundering Act (5th revision)
Subsequent to the latest amendments, the fifth revision of the Anti-Money Laundering Act was approved and promulgated by the National Legislative Assembly of Thailand (NLA) and then announced in the Royal Gazette on October 8, 2015. The amended Act became effective on the following day of its official announcement. A summary of the background to the Act is discussed below.
