ASEAN capital market regulators roll out initiatives under ACMF’s new five-year roadmap
The ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) approved the ACMF Annual Implementation Plan 2016 (Annual Plan 2016), which sets out ACMF’s immediate priorities for the year. The Action Plan will drive the ACMF's objective of achieving an inter-connected, inclusive and resilient ASEAN capital market, to help realise the ASEAN Economic Community Vision 2025 of deepening economic integration over the next ten years.

Women Directors Make Up Just 10.2 Percent of Asia Pacific Corporate Boards
In a recently released study of Asia Pacific companies, Korn Ferry and the National University of Singapore Business School's Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations (CGIO) found that females fill just 10.2 percent of all corporate board seats, reports the Straits Times (April 19, Koh). Researchers examined the 100 biggest publicly listed companies' 2014 annual reports in 10 Asia Pacific economies. Australia ranked No. 1 at 21.9 percent female board representation, followed by New Zealand (13.4 percent) and China (12.9 percent). "Only Australia, India, and Malaysia showed substantial improvement from 2013," the survey noted. In Australia, for instance, the percentage of women board members increased 3.3 percentage points.
