IOD Breakfast Talk 2/2017 “Cybersecurity: Risks, Liabilities, and Best Practices"
In the digital economy, businesses routinely collect and maintain personal information obtained from their employees and customers, in addition to their own confidential data – this makes the threat of cybersecurity breaches an issue of utmost importance.
We will examine a typical data breach incident including what measures are taken to mitigate legal liabilities that may arise. In addition, this seminar will address such matters as best practices in terms of preparedness and response, litigation perspectives and directors’ liabilities from a U.S. perspective, and the Thai legal landscape.
