Rules alone won't ensure good governance in Asia
The Nikkei Asian Review (July 6, Koyanagi) observes that the world is moving toward standardized regulations and codes of conduct for corporate governance. However, while the rules themselves may be getting more similar, their effects vary form one market to another. This is due to differences in levels of market development and in business cultures.
